A Gifts Shop A Blessing?

One of the things I've enjoyed with having Southern Pen Gifts is being able to share my faith and to have others share theirs with me. The number of blessings that have occurred in the shop has been immeasurable and I know each once comes from the Big Guy upstairs.

First and foremost, I am a Christian. How I chose to practice my faith is not defined by a specific denomination. In my youth, my parents attended a small rural Methodist Church. During my adolescence years, I attended a Baptist church and my home church. Throughout adulthood, I've attended Church of Christ, as well as Methodist and Baptist. When it comes to baptism, I've been sprinkled and dunked. Both, my husband and I converted to Catholicism several years ago.

I've learned in my life of faith that God has an awesome sense of humor. A few years ago I moved my brother, Charlie, to Monroe. He is deaf and having him closer makes it easier to help him. Charlie loves going to church and I knew how important it was to find one for him. Especially, a church that offered an interpreted service in American Sign Language. The one church that I was able to locate was Faith Baptist Church. So, I found myself attending my Catholic mass on Saturday and taking Charles to Faith on Sunday. (I have to give my parents gratitude for establishing a strong foundation of faith in both Charles and me).

Bottom line, where one choses to go to get their soul replenished, spirits lifted, share the joy of God's love, and rejoice in the promise of our risen Christ is a personal choice. What works for one person may not be the same for another. So what does this have to do with our little giftshop?

We carry gifts for both Protestants and Catholics. Our Catholic Gifts range from rosaries, confirmation coins, first communion gifts, and more. We also stock appreciation gifts for Pastor and Sunday School Teachers. Come and visit us, share with us your faith, and let the blessings be bountiful.
